Hi, I’m Sarah Edelaar.
I work on tools to improve the architectural design process. Im very passionated about improving the design process in order to solve sustainability, efficiency and quality issues with the help of computational design.
This portfolio offers a selection of my projects and the skills I have developed along the way.
I am driven by challenges, both in my work and beyond. What I enjoy most about computational design is the opportunity to fully engage with complex problems and explore innovative solutions. My curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and methods continuously push me to grow. Rather than speaking extensively about my strengths, I prefer to demonstrate them through my work.
In a professional context, I bring perseverance, curiosity, and a strong work ethic to every project.
These qualities are deeply rooted in my background in sports.
Having played basketball my entire life, I developed a strong sense of teamwork, responsibility, and commitment to shared goals.
Transitioning into new sports later on required persistence and self-reflection, especially in moments where progress was not immediate.
These experiences shaped a mindset where challenges are not obstacles, but motivation to improve.
When I’m not working, you’ll most likely find me staying active: cycling, running, windsurfing, or exploring new sports, both individually and in a social setting.
I would be happy to further share my motivation and background in a personal conversation.
